AR Review: - Moshiul combine sections 2.1 and 2.2, fully describe ibischk requirements - Done, posted to IQ website New items: - Request from Lynne Green at IBIS Open Forum call for "the latest" IQ checklist to be posted. - Posted checklist file is not the complete kit. AR: Mike post a more complete checklist kit on the website - Designation of official Task Group chairman - Mike LaBonte is currently listed as "acting chair" of this Task Group. He proposed that we choose an offical chairman.. - No other candidates "stepped forward". - We voted on confirmation of Mike LaBonte as chairman by yays and nays. There were some yays, no nays. - Mike LaBonte becomes offical chaor of the Task Group. AR: Mike ask the IBIS Secretary to delete "acting" before his name as chairman. - Should we have an IQ Presentation at the DesignCon 2007 IBIS Summit? - Mike LaBonte, David Banas, Kim Heliwell, Bob Ross plan to attend. - Kim will present an overview of IQ. - Primarily about spec changes, but also mention group activities and website features. - Summit is Thursday 1 Feb 2007. - David and Roy will consider a presentation on correlation. - David has a process correlation system mapped out. - Roy has ideas about eye closure. - David would present. AR: Bob will add Kim and David to the summit agenda. AR: Roy and David collaborate on presentation for IBIS summit Continued review of the IQ spec: - Some discussion on how strongly to recommend. - We should recommend that IBISCHK output be inserted as comments into IBIS files. It would help if IBISCHK prefixed each line printed with a pipe "|" character, and limit line lengths. Would also document IBISCHK version used. Reason is to provide guidance to user, and could include explanations of why warnings are OK. - Eliminate passive "It is recommended ...". The IBIS Open Forum is making the recommendation. Purpose section should identify the group. - Should vs. Shall? Although we would at times like to use more forceful language, we need to make it easier for IC vendors to adopt the IQ spec. AR: Mike will post an updated version of the IQ spec. - Bob noted that we were going to discuss the guidelines for when to use the "X" designator, but this will have to be discussed next meeting. Next meeting: 19 Dec 2006 11-12 AM EST (8-9 AM PST) Web access: http://meetingplace.cisco.com/join.asp?2102026 Meeting ended at 12:07 PM Eastern Time.
